On March 20th Matt Brown and Brian Woodbury arrived at The Millennium in Newport to video tape one of the rocking sets performed by The Custodians of Rock N' Roll. After recording the show Matt sat down patiently with Clean Phil for a little video editing 101. After several stops and starts The Custodians are presenting their first You Tube Video. Check below for the Url but beware: while the original video is crystal clear we are still working to improve the You Tube video and we will eventually place the original on our site. We very much want to thank Matt and Brian and mark your calendars for June 19th at Mainely Brews in Waterville.
After several months the mystery ladies returned and left their mark. The band, dumbfounded, can only speculate to their intentions. Big John said they're a "little scary" and I, scratching my bald head for answers, think possibly they're part of some radical feminist movement. Whatever they want I hope they soon make their intentions clear!!

The Boys at Bridge Street Tavern
After a rocking, rowdy and packed show at Bridge Street Tavern last Friday night, The Custodians will be performing at Millennium in Newport this Friday night the 20th. Sarah is promoting local bands and the public is invited so be sure to check it out. Don't forget Friday the 27th at Mainely Brews in Waterville. It's always a rocking Custodian's jam at Luke's place.

Family Time vs. Custodians Time
Tuesday, 17 February 2009
I told the guys I was going to write up a little blurb and put it on the front page of the site. "I'll write something about the various scheduling conflicts and changes and such," I said. Yup, and while I'm at it, I'm going to throw in a little of how 2009, in less than two months, hasn't exactly started off on the right foot, either. But maybe there is SOME good news... more in a moment!
Yes, in the Fall of 2008 and going into Winter and Spring 2009, we have been booking gigs right along! However, several have been cancelled due to various concerns - ranging from conflicts to lack of funding, to familial responsibilities. Yep, The Custodians, our fans, and yes, even our potential employers have had to draw in the purse strings, so to speak. Personally, I was suffering from bronchitis in November and December and then was laid off the 1st of December, and just last week found another position. (Thank God!) That's the full-time day job that keeps me fed and warm... and money is tight in my home, too.
Then there's the things that go awry at the worst of times. Point of fact - a couple weeks back not only did my septic system freeze up, I also lost the transmission in my clothes washer! Now, I can live without the washer and go to the laundromat, but not having a septic system... well, we had to buy a portable toilet and will have to wait till spring to get the septic system fixed... not my idea of a good way to start the year!
But on the good side, we've (The Custodians) added some new gear that improves our sound even more, plus of course we've added our new sound man, Mike, who is also pushing us to market ourselves more. And yes, I got a new position that pays more than my old one (fancy that!) and I'm hoping to actually be able to fix up this old house, finally! Starting as soon as the ground thaws with a septic system fix!
We're still here and we're still practicing and adding new tunes, and we have many upcoming shows and events, so don't fret! Come see us, and maybe you'll see a new side of the Custodians with several of our new tunes. And we all sincerely hope your 2009 has started off, and remains, better than ours!!!

This just in!
Thursday, 15 January 2009
Good evening people! Welcome to the show! Got something here I want you all to know! The Custodians care about there fans and there performances! They have recently made a fairly large expenditure soley for the purpose of sounding better in the diffrent show settings! They have taken the time to travel over a hundred miles last week on there day off (gladly) just to use this equipment on there upcoming show stages with hopes of producing the optimal sound for the structure. Hence the crystal clear depiction of there finley hewn rock -n-roll (It's like HD for rock-n-roll) will be the result! I can hardly wait for Friday, January 23th in Winterport at My Fork Sports Bar and Grill! I vow to never miss a Custodians of Rock 'n Roll show! Who's with me? See ya there and bring your dancin shoes!
